A world that lives without you. Then you choose to become its god.

Limon is a darwinian civilization simulation wrapped in a contemplative god game.

First, a world runs on its own. Proto-humans hunt, grow attached to a land, settle down, invent techniques, wage war, found bloodlines, fall ill, pray to their gods. Everything is emergent, and fully deterministic: the same seed replays the exact same history, down to the last person.

Then you step in. Not as a player min-maxing a spreadsheet, but as the god of a SINGLE people.

What you do

  • Choose a founding sign and place your chosen people in a world already full of rivals.
  • Faith is earned and spent sparingly: bless a harvest, breathe faith into your flock, terrify a rival, call down lightning, cure the plague...
  • Your camps beseech you by their real needs (famine, war, plague). Answer the right prayer at the right moment and their fervor grows; ignore them and doubt sets in.
  • Your temperament drifts between grace and wrath through your deeds, then slowly returns to calm.
  • You rally rival peoples... but each has ITS own deity, which resists your faith.
  • No hard game over. If your people die out, you wander as a spirit and haunt another people to be reborn.
  • Two soft endings: apotheosis, or oblivion.

Limon isn't played, it's contemplated.
